Meet Maev’s October Dog of the Month

This may come as a surprise, but there’s nothing we love more than celebrating dogs. So, each month we’re spotlighting a dog from our community. For the month of October, we’d like you to meet Bari!

Tell us about your dog’s origin story (how they chose you, how you chose them, or how they got their name).

My parents’ love story began over coffee, so they named me Bari the Barista. Pronounced like Barry White. I am a part-time barista that can whip up the best oat milk latte on my Italian espresso machine and a part-time bark-tender who is always down for an espresso martini.

Squirrels, bunnies, or birds?

Can I choose all three? I love to chase after everything. Especially leaves.

What’s your absolute favorite thing about your dog?
My mom said, “Bari truly shows us unconditional love, happiness, and joy in his expressions and actions. There’s never a bad day with Bari, and he is a true family man!”

What’s your dog’s favorite thing about you?
My favorite thing about my mom is that she works from home so I get to be with her almost 24/7 and sleep on her feet all day! My favorite thing about my dad is he is my best friend and never turns down me begging to throw the ball!

If you could text your dog (or if they could text you), what would you say or ask (or what would they say or ask)?

If we could text Bari, we would remind him that he is our life and is so loved as he can be a bit emo when we leave him alone for short periods of time.

If Bari could text us, he would remind us that we are his whole world and he misses us so much because he loves our family and can’t believe we all found each other!

What’s your dog’s go-to Maev product?
Raw beef is my holy grail! Before eating Maev, my mom would have to beg me to eat with the kitchen sink. And on top of that, being allergic to chicken, it was really difficult to find something I liked. After I tried Maev, I am never looking back and happier than ever!!

Anything else we should know about your dog? (think: funny anecdotes, defining characteristics, etc.)

I am ALWAYS on my best behavior for strangers or people outside my family. I am a model Barista, however, when the doors close and it’s just us, I will try to get away with any and ALL forms of shenanigans.

Fun fact: I have never lost a sprint or race at the dog park!
