How to Recycle & Reuse Our Packaging ♻️

Once the unboxing is complete and the dog’s been fed, you may be wondering how to best recycle or reuse your Maev packaging. So, we created a 2-minute recycling guide to simplify things.

Let’s start from the outside, and work our way in…

PACKAGING →

Corrugated Shipping Box — This is the box your order arrives in!

  • Recycled — Made with post-consumer and post-industrial recycled cardboard

  • Recyclable — Make sure to break down the box, remove adhesive, and add to your recycling bin.

Green Cell Foam Liner — This is the foam that insulates your dog’s raw food so it arrives at your door, frozen and ready to eat.

  • 100% Compostable — Made from post-industrial recycled corn starch

  • Dissolves In Water — Simply remove your Green Cell Foam Liner from its Liner Protector, run it under the faucet in your kitchen sink, and watch it dissolve. Place any leftover corn waste in your compost bin or compost curbside.

Liner Protector — This is the liner which protects the foam that insulates your dog’s raw food so it arrives at your door, frozen and ready to eat.

  • Recycled & Recyclable — Our Green Cell Foam Liner is wrapped in post-consumer recycled plastic which — when removed from our Foam Liner — can also be recycled.

Dry Ice

  • Some of your dry ice may evaporate by the time your order arrives. Just be careful to avoid direct contact and let science do her job!

PRODUCT →

Raw Food Bag — This is the beautiful, resealable bag you use to serve your dog their daily portion of Maev Raw Food. (It also doubles as a transition and portion guide — just read the back!)

  • Recyclable — Make sure your bag is empty and add to your recycling bin.

Bone Broth Jar — This is the transparent container with the black lid that protects your dog’s collagen-rich Bone Broth topper in the freezer.

  • Recyclable & Reusable — When they’re empty, we keep our Bone Broth Jars and reuse them to hold our homemade dog treats. See for yourself.

Supplement Bars

Cardstock Sleeve & Cardstock Drawer — This is a fancy way to say the box that contains and dispenses your Bars.

  • Recycled & Recyclable — Made with post-consumer recycled materials, make sure your box is empty and add to your recycling bin.

Flow Wrap — These are the wrappers that seal in the 90 calories of goodness in each Bar.

  • Recycled & Recyclable — Made with post-consumer recycled materials, make sure your wraps are empty of any crumbs and add to your recycling bin.

Reminder: All of our products and materials are sourced, made, and packaged in the USA.

If you’re like us — and you’re concerned about your carbon footprint — you can simply decrease the frequency and increase the volume of Raw Food in your monthly subscription for fewer overall deliveries. To update your subscription, Visit the Help Center
