What is Maev?
Maev is a wellness company for dogs. We’re building the future of pet care. We make raw food bowls, vitamin bars and bone broth for dogs that are targeted to fill common wellness gaps found in dogs. But that’s just a part of it.
We believe our dogs are the most important thing in our world and started a community of urban dog people who shared the feeling. Hearing that most of us were disappointed by the options on the shelf to keep our dogs healthy, we worked with vets to design the best dog food, vitamins, and toppers to fit the urban dog owners’ lifestyle and the urban dog’s health gaps (p.s. they’re unique!). Dogs are meant to bring us joy — the things we buy for them should too.
But at the end of it, we’d be nowhere without you. You and your dog bring them to life through your adventures, stories, trials and tribulations. So we really do want to hear from you! Not just the good, but the bad, the gross, the ugly and everything in between. Without you and your dog’s feedback, we’re just products that sit on a shelf. With your feedback, we’re so much more. How are Maev Products different from other pet brands?
Maev is different from other pet brands because we pay the highest attention to detail in each of our products from what goes into them to how we make them to how we package to get to you. Our products are transparent, made with the highest quality ingredients, intentionally designed and made for you to seamlessly fit into your life with your dog.
What you see is what you get with our products. No fillers, no preservatives — only natural, whole food ingredients that you can see, recognize and are comfortable with. We believe raw food diets are the absolute best thing that you can be feeding your dog. But if you’re not ready for raw or if it doesn’t fit into your lifestyle, we make vitamins and bone broth sourced from real-food sources, not synthetics, so they are easier to metabolize and extract nutrients from. Why should I feed Raw?
We believe a balanced and complete raw food diet is the healthiest and most natural way to feed our dogs. As obesity, cancer, and diabetes rise at alarming rates, there’s a growing body of scientific evidence that points to the health benefits of a raw food diet, and to the dangers of many commercial pet food manufacturing processes (high temps, low ingredient quality standards, little to no traceability).
Some dogs switch to raw for health reasons — weight gain, tooth tarter, irregular BMs, dehydration — while others switch because they’re picky eaters and got more excited for table scraps than for their own dinners. We’ve seen first-hand the benefits of switching to raw, and wanted to make raw as easy as possible, with convenient packaging, easy storage and transparent regular shipments. We take the guesswork out of it, and make sure the food you feed your dog is personalized to their need, as fresh as possible, and sourced from suppliers we’d trust for our own food.

What are the quality of the ingredients?
We source ingredients that we’d be comfortable eating ourselves. We aim to source locally wherever possible, and use USDA certified choice meats in our raw meals.
How do Maev Raw Meals work?
We ship you a new box of raw meals every two weeks. Each box is filled with 15 bowls of frozen pre-portioned raw meals, custom filled to meet your dog’s daily caloric needs. One bowl of Maev Raw Meals is always filled to meet one day’s worth of food.
Most people split each bowl of Maev into two meals each day. We recommend keeping your current feeding schedule; Maev works for free feeding or discrete meals. Store them in your freezer (they’re designed to fit perfectly in compact urban freezer drawers, or stack neatly in the door), and serve frozen. No thawing, cooking, or scooping needed.
Your first box of Maev will include transition instructions and three ‘special’ bowls marked with “Day 1”, “Day 2”, and “Day 3” to help you seamlessly and safely transition onto your new diet. Most dogs love the texture of the frozen cubes, but if yours doesn’t, let the meals thaw at room temp for about 10 minutes before serving. You know your dog best!
You can cancel, pause, or change your subscription any time by contacting us at hello@meetmaev.com. Raw meals are safe in your freezer for up to 6 months should you have leftovers. Feed it in one big meal, feed it as two meals, feed it in as many meals as you want.
How does Bone Broth work?
We ship you a new box of bone broth once every month. Each box is filled with your choice of 3 or 6 jars of Maev all natural Beef Bone Broth. Our Bone Broth works well as a guilt-free topper or a standalone treat. It’s packed with collagen and amino acids, and is a super food! No preservatives added — just beef bones, water, and apple cider vinegar.
We freeze our bone broth into individual cubes about 1 centimeter x 1 cm x 1 cm. They gleam like little crystals inside your freezer or in your dog’s bowl. This cubic shape is critical — it helps keep the bone broth shelf stable with no preservatives or additives all month. Because you don’t need to thaw before feeding, simply pour out as many cubes of broth as you want to feed, put the lid back on and store the remainder of the broth in the freezer. No mess, no thawing, and no utensils to clean. We recommend feeding 1 tablespoon of broth for every 10 lbs your dog weighs, each day. If you DIY your own bone broth, we salute you. Just keep in mind that it’s only safe for consumption for about 3–5 days if refrigerated as a liquid.
Store your bone broth in the freezer, and serve frozen. Most dogs love the texture of these frozen cubes, but if yours doesn’t, let them thaw at room temp for about 3 minutes — they’ll become a healthy liquid topper making everything beneath more enticing. Feel free to serve our bone broth as a food topper or as a treat for a job well done!

How does Maev Vitamin Bars work?
We ship you a new box of vitamin bars every month. Each box is filled with 30 individually-wrapped daily vitamin bars stacked neatly in a simple box that are intentionally designed to look good on any counter, pantry, or medicine cabinet shelf.
Our vitamin bars act as a personalized daily vitamin pack to fill the most important nutrition gaps. We mix our vitamins and supplements with peanut butter, chia seeds, and coconut to make a delicious, low-carb treat packed with healthy nutrients.
Serve as a treat in the morning or evening, or break into a few pieces as a topper on your dog’s meal.
