Movies to keep your dog busy while you get work done
I’m sure you have a wealth of new movies and tv shows to stream on multiple platforms. There’s more than enough to keep you busy for the days and nights to come, but what to do during the day when your dog is grappling for your attention and the only satiation is either a full-on love tussle from the couch to the ground or to walk the block around? Both of these activities will take you away from work for a bit. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t have some QT with your dog while you’re WFH. All I’m saying is if you want to get some work done this might help.
Here is a list of must-see films to put on for your dog and the platforms to watch them on in no particular order so you can try to actually get things done…
Benji (Netflix)
Benji is a small, lovable mixed-breed dog with an uncanny knack for being in the right place at the right time (usually) to help someone overcome a problem. We all need a Benji about now!

101 Dalmatians (Disney +)
“A tale as old as time” - JK That’s from Beauty and the Beast. You knew that! Don't let WFH give you cabin fever brain. Pongo and Perdy (both Dalmatians) have a litter of 15 puppies which are stolen by Cruella De Vil. Pongo enlists the help of the dogs of Britain to help find his missing puppies and now the adventure begins
Lady and the Tramp (Disney +)
Let’s just say Lady is from the Upper East and Tramp is from anywhere in Brooklyn. It’s like if Romeo and Juliet were dogs. Tbh, the first crush I remember having as a wee girl was the Tramp. Take me to the pound!
Isle of Dogs (Amazon Prime)
Oh, this hits a bit too close to home currently but it’s still so good! An outbreak of canine influenza breaks out in Japan causing all dogs to be quarantined on an island, but love finds a way ...
Turner and Hooch (Disney +)
Buddy cop comedy - need I say more? You’re right, I am going to: A cop’s friend is killed, resulting in him taking in his dead friend’s dog who happens to be the witness to the dead friend’s murder. It’s all too much. On second thought, maybe it is too much.
Beethoven (iTunes)
A classic case of a puppy stolen from a pet store, escaping the clutches of the pup nappers and then sneaking into a family home and causing a ruckus.

It is what it is. A bunch of pets (not in quarantine) are left to their own devices whilst their parents are all at work! Like how life used to be (smdh)

Lassie is the most beautiful Collie in the world. A boy and his dog who is constantly burdened with saving him because he seems to keep falling down wells. There’s the tv show and multiple films to choose from.
