Meet Maev’s August Dog(s) of the Month
This may come as a surprise, but there’s nothing we love more than celebrating dogs. So, each month we’re spotlighting a dog from our community. For the month of August, we’d like you to meet Miso and Papí!
Tell us about your dog’s origin story (how they chose you, how you chose them, or how they got their name).
As told by Miso and Papí …
Miso: They call me Miso because I look like miso soup. (Real Reason: We named her Miso because we are Japanese and it is similar to a combination of Sophie's first and middle name.)
Papí: They call me Puppy, because I am a puppy. (Real Reason: First of all his name is Papí, because we couldn't choose a name for him and kept calling him puppy. We still think he thinks his name is puppy though)
Sidenote: Sophie and Sara, two sisters, are the owners of Miso and Papí. Although Miso lives with Sophie and Papí lives with Sara, rest assured these two are together everyday :)
Squirrels, bunnies, or birds? BIRDS! We love to play with our older brother, Mr. Beach. He’s a tiny pink bourke parakeet.
What’s your absolute favorite thing about your dog?
Papí: I've heard I have cute eyes and I’m a silly boy.
Miso: I love my beautiful coat and ultra sweet personality.
What’s your dog’s favorite thing about you?
Papí: I love playing with my hoomans. Especially biting their toes and chasing them around the house.
Miso: I love snuggle time. If I could, I would snuggle with my hoomans all day.
If you could text your dog (or if they could text you), what would you say or ask (or what would they say or ask)?
Miso: Can I go over to Papí’s house? I’m ready for my play date.
Papí: When’s dinner? I could really go for some Maev right now.

Anything else we should know about your dog?
Miso: My dream is to become a pro-skater. (Miso is actually an awesome skateboarder!)
Papí: My dream is to become a pro surfer.
